There are several questions that might be popping in your head now.
HOW TO GET CANDLE WAX OUT OF CARPET.
Research says, there are several ways in which candle wax can be treated out of carpets easily.
Here we have gathered the six easiest of them for you. Also, most importantly you all will be glad to know that the process is smooth and only the materials present at home are used from paper towels to ice.
Can you just think, it is this easy? Let’s know here!
Material YOU NEED
- In the first place, gather all the materials and equipment that you’ll be needing at hand. Some of these materials include,
- an ice bag,
- an iron or a hairdryer if available.
- Brown paper bags, paper towels or terry cloth towels, carpet cleaners or rubbing alcohol,
- a dull knife and vacuum are also some of the accessories in the requirement list.
LADDER TO SOLUTION
Step 1: Freeze the melted wax particles.
It will be easier to pick up solid dried wax than the melted hot wax. Therefore, it is advisable that we put an ice bag on the wax first so that it gets frozen as quickly as it can.
Point To Remember:
we must keep in mind that the melted wax should not get wet. Therefore, placing a plastic bag of ice cubes or even frozen meat also helps. The main aim here is to get the wax solidified as soon as possible. Solidified wax lifts from the carpets easily.
STEP 2: scrape the wax off the carpet.
This can be done with the help of a dull knife or a butter knife as per its availability at home. Pull off as much of it as you can.
If you are lucky enough then you will not have to follow the other step that I’ll be mentioning here and you can directly clean the carpet with a carpet cleaning solution or rubbing alcohol if possible and then vacuum the carpet once it is dry so that it gets back its old texture.
Now, if it turns out that you aren’t lucky enough to remove all the solidified wax out of your rug at one go, then take the next step.
STEP 3: place a paper towel or a terry-cloth towel over the wax stain.
Take your iron, set it at a very low temperature, and slowly rub it over the stain above the towel.
Point to remember:
Setting high temperatures would melt the carpet fibers and destroy their beauty. To get the whole wax absorbed we must keep repositioning the towel on fresh areas and repeat the process until the whole thing gets smooth.
Then, after the wax stain settles, we are to follow the above mention processes of first cleaning the carpet and then drying it fully and lastly using a vacuum so that it regains its originality.
And guess what none of your mammas will be able to even catch that a wax stain ever happened!
The process is this good and interesting. Only thing is that we will have to be careful while doing it so that we don’t hurt ourselves with the knife or the iron.
WHAT IS THE EASIEST WAY TO REMOVE CANDLE WAX?
Well, Is there anything easier than this process I just mentioned a while back?
What do you think? Surely you are free to give us your feedback.
HOW TO GET WAX OUT OF CARPET WITH HAIR DRYER?
Things you need: paper towels and your blow dryers.
Step to follow:
- Lay a paper towel on the wax and then set your blow dryer on high heat and blow air on the spot, you will eventually find that the wax starts bleeding into the paper towel.
- Change the towel as it gets soaked with the wax and,
- repeat the process and just see how the magic happens. Within sometime there will be no wax left on the carpet to get absorbed by the paper towel.
Now, the question is, what would somebody do, if he or she wants to remove the wax without heat.
So, let us see! HOW TO GET WAX OUT OF CARPET WITHOUT HEAT?
We are certain you want to save your carpet from heat, so we found out another coolest method for you.
What To You Need:
For this, you are first to use a plastic bag full of ice to harden the melted wax as fast as possible. The area shouldn’t be wet however the ice bag can be used a little longer so that the wax solidifies completely.
Step on To The Process
- Use a blunt knife next and take the hardened wax particles out of the rug.
- Try removing all of it through this process.
- Then use a vacuum to remove all these particles from the floor and then clean the carpet with a cleaning solution or an alcohol rub and follow it with drying.
The main area of concern is, does wax come off easily?
Though the process without using heat seems to be easier according to my opinion the other process of using a blow dryer or an iron is more helpful. It cleans the carpet fully and helps in retaining its look.
Thus, if you would have to get the wax out easily, I would suggest you go ahead with the other two methods.
