I’ll bet Daniel Day-Lewis is sitting on the distinctly un-modern looking chair because modern director’s chairs just simply weren’t around in late 1800s New York City. The man’s committed even down to the furniture.
DDL still in character, smoking his pipe.
Aaaand now I need to watch this movie again
This was taken in 2000? 4 years after Titanic and Leo looks completely different!
absolutely love this movie. I think it’s rather unappreciated sometimes. some people moan about it sometimes. it’s not a masterpiece but it’s so fun with great sets, costume design, acting and some brilliant moments. it’s my favourite post-2000 Scorsese movie.
Love this film. Made me buy the book which was fascinating.
Should be. Lot higher regarded than it was.
